Items generally taken from vehicles are normally small, easy to conceal, and easy to pawn, sell or use. They are expensive items or things that are very much in fashion.
Not included in this list are cash, checks, debit/credit cards, purses, handbags, wallets, luggage, clothes, jewelry, CDs, sun glasses and shopping bags filled with newly bought items. Also not included are tools, car batteries or items left in an open flatbed pickup truck, an unlocked car, a vehicle with its windows wide open or a convertible with the top down.
Top Ten Things Stolen from Vehicles:
1. GPS Devices - mostly the portable ones. It is important to note that even an empty GPS mounting device is announcing you have a GPS in the car and is a good enough reason to break into.
