FEMA Annouces Disaster Assistant For Texas Drought
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Texas to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by wildfires during the period of April 6 to May 3, 2011. The lack of rain in our area and state has sparked several wildfires and caused many cities to cancel July 4th fireworks. Until we have steady rainfall, please exercise caution when outdoors:
- Do not burn trash
- Do not start a camp fire
- Properly dispose of cigarette buds
- Lets do our part to prevent further fires!
